Calamba LGU donates patrol vehicles to PNP

THE local government unit of Calamba City in Laguna on Wednesday donated 11 patrol vehicles that will help enhance mobility of the city police force.
Calamba City Mayor Roseller Rizal led the ceremonial turnover and blessing of the five mobile patrol units, two Toyota Innova cars, and four motorcycles to the Calamba police.
The event was held at the Calamba City Police Station grounds.
The donation was part of the local government unit’s initiative to keep Calamba City peaceful and progressive.
“Ang matibay na ugnayan ng city government ng Calamba at ng Philippine National Police ay ang daan tungo sa isang ligtas at matatag na pamayanan,” Rizal said.
He also mentioned to provide additional cash incentives to police personnel doing their job well.
Police Regional Office 4A Director Brig Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. acknowledged the donation as the biggest in the province and almost equal to the donation of the provincial government of Cavite in the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) region.
“We, are indebted to this donation. Ibabalik name ito through a fine service to the people or stakeholders here in Calamba City,” said Nartatez.
Meanwhile, Laguna provincial director Col. Glenn Silvio vowed to help maintain peace and order in the province, particularly in Calamba City, as he also thanked the local government unit for the additional patrol vehicles.
Lt. Col. Melany Martinez , Calamba City police chief, also thanked Rizal for the continued support in the peace and order programs of the city police.
“Ang mga sasakyang kaloob mula kay Mayor Rizal ay magbibigay inspirasyon na lalong maging visible kami sa buong siyudad,” the Calamba top cop said.
