CAMILLE Villar vows to tap into her millennial perspective to address the challenges that the country is facing amid the innovations and high-tech upgrades of the digital era.
Running her Senate campaign on her campaign promise to be the Filipino people’s “new voice for a better future,” or “bagong boses para sa bagong bukas,” Villar committed during the 24th General Alumni Homecoming of the Passi 1 Central School Alumni Association in Passi City, Iloilo to provide modern approaches, out-of-the-box responses, and forward-thinking solutions to prepare the country for digitalization.
“Over the years, a lot of changes, a lot of challenges have transpired. The world is evolving pretty fast, especially now in the digital age, now in the age of AI. The problems, the challenges, they are all ever evolving too,” she told homecoming participants.
“I know the feeling of having that uncertainty, of not knowing what comes next. I understand the worry of not knowing what will happen, like the experience that we had during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a millennial starting out a family, I understand that feeling of worry for the future of my children, for the future of my family. And I know, these situations also call for extraordinary approaches, for out-of-the-box responses, for forward-thinking solutions,” Villar said.
Villar said her involvement in managing her family’s businesses have given her extensive experience in public service.
“If you’ll indulge me, a millennial leader who understands your hopes and dreams, may bagong lakas ng loob at experience, let me give back and serve you. Hayaan ninyong maging bagong boses ninyo ako sa paghahanap at paghain ng makabagong solusyon sa mga makabagong mga problema. Nothing is impossible,” Villar said.
