MORE than 3,000 residents across CALABARZON received assistance this month through Senator Alan Peter Cayetano’s Bayanihan Caravan, conducted in partnership with government agencies and local officials.
In collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the senator’s office distributed livelihood assistance to women and health workers in Mendez and Tanza, Cavite, as well as in Lobo and Taysan, Batangas, under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
Local officials who supported the initiative included Tanza Vice Mayor Archangelo Matro, Mendez Mayor Francisco Mendoza, Lobo Mayor Lota Manalo, Taysan Mayor Edilberto Adabay, and former Batangas Representative Raneo Abu.
Cayetano’s office also extended aid to residents of Antipolo City through DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), with the help of Kagawad Kristine Ibardolaza. The program aims to provide livelihood opportunities and support recipients’ daily needs, particularly women.
The caravan also partnered with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to provide livelihood packages to residents of Antipolo City under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP). The program was made possible with the support of Antipolo Mayor Casimiro Ynares III.
Expanding its reach, the senator’s office conducted a Tulong-Medikal Caravan in Biñan, Laguna, offering free general medical check-ups, diagnostic services, medicines, and specialized healthcare for women.
The medical assistance initiative was carried out with the support of Laguna Representative Len Alonte, Biñan Mayor Arman Dimaguila Jr., and Vice Mayor Gel Alonte.
Through these efforts, Cayetano continues to champion community-building and national transformation, ensuring that government support reaches those who need it most.
