A PRIVATE Cessna plane carrying six people went missing in the vicinity of Isabela on Tuesday.
According to Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines spokesperson Eric Apolonio, C206 Plane RPC1174 departed from Cauayan Airport at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
The plane was on its way to Maconacon, Isabela and was expected to arrive at 2:45 p.m. on the same day.
According to CAAP, the pilot’s last contact with the air traffic controller was at 2:19 p.m. when it was within the vicinity of Naguilian Bridge.
The Cauayan Airport Tower reported to CAAP head office that the aircraft did not arrive at its intended destination.
The aircraft was carrying six persons, including the pilot.
Authorities immediately conducted search and rescue operation.
The search and rescue operations was temporarily halted yesterday due to bad weather but according to Apolonio it will resume once the weather in the area improves.
