A LEADER and a member of a gunrunning syndicate were arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in separate operations in Cavite.
CIDG men and the local police who were armed with search warrants issued by Hon. Agripino R. Bravo, Executive Judge of the Lucena City Regional Trial Court on April 17, 2023 arrested Lousito Esguerra Sanchez in Bgy. Daang Amaya 1 in Tanza, Cavite.
Operatives seized from Sanchez one cal. .45 pistol, a cal. 9mm pistol, two magazines, 19 rounds of ammunition, and a black holster.
The second search warrant was implemented against Rhoderick Ong Lagamson in Bgy. San Francisco, General Trias City, Cavite.
Confiscated from Lagamson were one cal. .45 pistol, a cal. 9mm barrel, two magazines, and 115 rounds of ammunition.
Based on reports submitted to CIDG Director PBGen Romeo M. Caramat Jr., Lagamson is the leader of the “Lagamson Gunrunning Group” operating in Cavite while Sanchez is a member.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the CIDG- Cavite office for documentation and proper disposition.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Law were filed against the arrested suspects.
