THE Commission on Elections yesterday proclaimed the son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla as the new representative in Congress for Cavite’s 7th District.
Cavite Board member Crispin Diego “Pinggoy” Remulla emerged as the winner in the special election held last Saturday.
The 7th District of Cavite is composed of the towns of Indang, Amadeo, Tanza and Trece Martires City.

Remulla replaced his father, “Boying” Remulla, who was appointed Justice Secretary by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. shortly after the May polls last year, resulting in the vacancy.

Meanwhile, the special election in the 7th District of Cavite was generally peaceful according to reports from the Trece Martires City Police Station, and the Municipal Police Stations of Indang,, Amadeo and Tanza.
