Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga –A 26-year-old construction worker was arrested on January 15, 2025, for violating the Omnibus Election Code and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) during an early morning routine checkpoint operation conducted in Barangay Pambuan, Gapan City.
The suspect, identified as “Jose,” was a passenger in a motorcycle and was left behind by his companion when they were flagged down by personnel from the 303rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3) and Gapan City Police Station (CPS) during a routine checkpoint at around 1:15AM.
After being apprehended, he was subjected to a routine search by authorities and discovered to be carrying an unlicensed .45 caliber pistol concealed in his waistband. After failing to provide the necessary papers, police seized the weapon including four magazines of ammunition.
The suspect was immediately arrested and is now facing charges for violation of the Omnibus Election Code and Republic Act 10591.
