Cops nab bigtime drug pusher, 15M worth of drugs seized

Camp BGen Vicente P Lim- OPERATIVES of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Provincial Intelligence Unit of Quezon Police Provincial Office together with Lucena City Drug Enforcement Unit nabbed a High Value Individual (HVI) and seized ₱15,300,000.00 worth of illegal drugs during a joint buy-bust operation conducted on October 21, 2023 at Zoleta Street, Jael Subdivision, Brgy Ilayang Iyam, Lucena City, Quezon.

Authorities identified the suspect as alias “Eric”, male, 40 yrs old, tricycle driver, resident of Jael Subdivision, Brgy Ilayang Iyam, Lucena City, Quezon and listed as HVI in Quezon PPO Drugs Watchlist. 

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were 10 pieces plastic sachet, 6 pieces sealed transparent plastic bag and 5 pieces knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing suspected shabu weighing 750 grams valued at ₱15,300,000.00 and monetary bill as boodle money. 

Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth T. Lucas, Acting Regional Director of PRO CALABARZON, commended the joint drug operatives of Quezon PPO for the successful buy-bust operation that led in the arrest of a bigtime drug personality in Lucena City, Quezon. He also directed the Lucena City Police to expand their investigation and gather information in order to determine the source of the significant amount of drugs.

“it is another huge success for our operatives in the City of Lucena in Quezon. It only shows that our operatives are working tirelessly in order to eradicate the proliferation of illegal drugs in Quezon. I have ordered the Quezon PPO’s anti-drug units to step up their intelligence collection and conduct extensive investigations in order to identify the source of these illegal drugs that proliferates in Lucena City, specifically in Brgy. Ilayang Iyam where this bigtime drug pusher established its domain” ARD Lucas said. 

Meanwhile, the susoectl is presently under the custody of Lucena CPS for processing and documentation prior to the filing of appropriate charges for violation of RA 9165.
