DOH – Ilocos Reginal Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco and Robinson’s Place La Union Representative Dan Hill Galvez led the ceremonial ribbon cutting to formally open the DOH-Ilocos Job Fair on June 23, 2025
THE Department of Health (DOH)—Ilocos Region offered various vacant positions in all of its hospitals, namely Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Region 1 Medical Center, Ilocos Training ang Regional Medical Center and Conrado P. Estrella Regional Trauma and Medical Center including vacancies at the regional office, during the department’s celebration of its 127th anniversary held at Robinson’s Place in La Union on June 23. 2025.
In addition to job hiring, applicants were also offered free medical services, including PhilPEN health risk assessment for diabetes and hypertension, HIV and TB screening.
Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco said that health is not just about well-being, it is also about opportunity and security, as the regional office promoted employment opportunities to qualified candidates through the nationwide job fair.
“As we move forward in our mission to build a healthier nation, we also reaffirm our dedication not just to health, but to the health of the Filipino workforce. This job fair shall address workforce shortages, promote health careers and help develop the local workforce. It is practical, fast-response recruitment and engagement tool because applicants can be hired-on-the-spot,” she stated.
The activity is a nationwide event aimed to recruit more health workers for the DOH 76 operating units, including the Central Office, Centers for Health Development (CHDs), DOH Hospitals, and Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers (TRCs) nationwide.
Sydiongco encouraged interested applicants who were not able to visit the job fair to apply online.

The activity is aligned with the Seventh Action Agenda item, “Kapakanan at karapatan ng health workers,” which was designed for qualified Filipinos to contribute to the nation’s healthcare system.
The DOH Job Fair in Ilocos Region was conducted in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment – Region 1 and Robinson’s Place La Union.
