THE Department of Justice (DOJ) has ordered an investigation into the gruesome murder of a union organizer and paralegal of a business processing outsourcing employees group in Bacolod City.
Victim Alex Dolorosa, 35, of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, was found with 20 stab wounds at Purok Villa Rosario in Bgy. Alijis, Bacolod City on April 24.
The DOJ instructed the National Bureau of Investigation and National Prosecution Service to conduct an in-depth probe and case build-up for the filing of appropriate charges in court.
It also alerted the personnel of the Witness Protection Program to protect possible witnesses.
The DOJ urged anyone who had any information about the killing of Dolorosa to come forward and provide information.
Militant group Anakbayan condemned the killing of Dolorosa, whom they claimed to be a paralegal officer of the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) Industry Employees Network (BIEN).
Anakbayan demanded the immediate investigation of Dolorosa’s death, which they claimed to be linked to his continued service, not only to his fellow BPO workers but also of the masses.
