
DOST Cavite led by its Provincial Director Gilda S. De Jesus took part in the NU Dasmarinas Project Unlad: Training and Re-Launching of Hydroponics for Sustainable Livelihood Program for Brgy Samploc II, Dasmarinas City.
It was attended by the NUD students, selected faculty, farmers, and barangay officials of Sampaloc II, representatives from Francisco E. Barzaga Integrated High School, J&M Crops and Agricultural Supplies and Services, Nutri-Hydro Plant Nutrients, LGU Dasmarinas City Social Welfare and Development Office, and City Agriculture Office.
During the launch event, participants were provided with comprehensive training on hydroponics technology, emphasizing its practical application in enhancing crop yields and ensuring food security. Additionally, the initiative underscores the importance of community involvement and capacity-building to foster economic growth and resilience.
The collaboration between DOST Cavite and NU Dasmarinas underscores the commitment of both institutions to harnessing science and technology for the benefit of local communities. By leveraging expertise and resources, Project UNLAD seeks to create opportunities for sustainable development while addressing pressing social and environmental concerns.
