FOUR members of a family on Wednesday were shot dead in their home in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat.
Lebak police chief Maj. Joel Martinez identified the fatalities as Jimmy Lapat Capiceño Sr., 59; his wife Aida, 58; and two of the couple’s grandchildren, all residents of Bgy. Datu Karon, Lebak town.
Another grandchild of the Capiceños was injured and is undergoing treatment at a district hospital in the town. The survivor took cover after seeing the other family members being shot one after the other.
Martinez said witnesses identified the attackers as Den Den Rakman Saludin, Dex Datumanong, and another suspect, all members of the 104th MILF Base Command.
An investigation showed the suspects arrived at the victim’s shanty and requested several glasses of coffee.
For unknown reasons, the gunmen fired on the victims. Joint military and police personnel are hunting down the attackers.
