
A 16-year-old girl allegedly kidnapped by a group of men was rescued while four suspects were arrested in a police dragnet operation in Davao City.
Police Regional Office 11 director Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr. said the teenager was successfully returned to her mother in Bankerohan, Bgy. 5-A in Davao City.
Prior to the rescue operation, the victim’s father reported to the police the alleged kidnapping incident.
According to the father, his daughter told him during their cellphone conversation that the suspects forced her to board a Ford Raptor pick-up, which was heading towards Calinan Road.
The Davao City Police Office flashed an alarm to intercept the occupants of a blue Ford Raptor pickup, with plate no. ZAB-9312.
Around 11:59 p.m. last Sunday, policemen of two Davao City police mobile cars intercepted the pickup and a red Toyota Innova along Purok 35 in Lagato Village, Calinan Poblacion.
When checked, one of the vehicles yielded the abducted teenager, prompting lawmen to place the suspects under arrest.
The four suspects identified as Aldie Bongcarawan,18; Asrap Bongcarawan, 22; Ading Mimbalawag, 41; and Alnie Mimbalawag, 20, all residents of Gem Village in Bgy. Maa, Davao City are now being held at the San Pedro Police Station 2, facing criminal charges.
