IN a powerful show of compassion and leadership, Laguna Governor Sol Aragones spearheaded the Akay ni Gob Action Center: Medical and Burial Assistance Payout, bringing critical aid to thousands of beneficiaries in the province’s 1st District.
“Sabi ko, kinakailangang mabilis ang pagtulong sa tao. Kasi gusto kong ilapit ang tulong sa ating mga kababayan,” said Governor Sol, reaffirming her commitment to swift, accessible, and people-first governance.
Residents from San Pedro City, Biñan City, and Sta. Rosa City received financial assistance for medical needs and burial expenses. The initiative was made possible through the strong partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the cooperation of local government officials who continue to support Gov. Sol’s mission of people-centered service.
Among the thousands helped was Merlita Parate, who broke down in tears while expressing her appreciation “Thank you, Gob Sol Aragones, sa binibigay mo na tulong sa amin,” she said after receiving medical assistance for her laboratory procedures.

“Nung nanalo po si Gob Sol, tuwang tuwa po kami. Nabigyan rin nila ako ng branded na gamot,” she said, referring to the four kinds of maintenance medicine she received through the Akay ni Sol Mobile Botika.
Another beneficiary, Merissa Maceda, emphasized the governor’s quick response.
“Natutuwa ako kasi aksyon agad siya,” she said.
Addressing the crowd, Governor Sol also encouraged everyone regardless of political stance to come forward when in need.
“Yung iba na hindi binoto si Sol, nahihiya lumapit at humingi ng tulong. Sabihin nyo, wag sila mahiya dahil tapos na ang eleksyon,” she said, sending a powerful message of inclusivity and unity.
Adding to the excitement, Governor Sol announced the upcoming launch of the Akay ni Gob Mobile Botika, an initiative that will distribute free branded maintenance medicine to those who need it most in every city and municipality.
