A 66-year-old man was arrested by the police for allegedly making his granddaughter a sex slave since she was 9 years old in Bgy. Sapalibutan, Angeles City, Pampanga.
The victim, who is now 13 years old, revealed the ordeal to her teacher, who reported to police the sexual abuse.
Angeles City police chief Maj. Mark Neil Mautin immediately dispatched Women and Children’s Protection Desk investigator PMSg. Mijares Reyes and PCpl. Mario Zabala Jr. to interview the victim.
According to the child, her grandfather started to molest her when she was only 9 years old. The last rape occurred last Thursday.
The victim said she could not report the abuse because of fear and shame it would bring to her family.
However, the child said she could no longer take the sexual abuse and finally told her class adviser, who sought police assistance for the arrest of the suspect.
