Helper nabbed for guns, ammunition in Batangas

CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – Police on Monday arrested a helper for possession of guns and ammunition in Taal, Batangas.

A report by Batangas police director Col. Pedro D. Soliba to Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon) director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. identified the suspect as Manuel Medina De Roxas alias “Michael,” a  48-year-old resident of Taal municipality.

Provincial Police Public Information Office chief  Lt.  Pauline P. Fernando said the suspect was arrested based on a search warrant issued on January 23 by the Regional Trial Court of Taal, Batangas for violation of Republic Act 10591 or illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Seized were  a Smith & Wesson cal. .38 gun, a cal. .45 colt, ammunition, and magazines for the two guns.
