THE Police Regional Office 3 has a new police director.
Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. formally replaced Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen following a simple turnover ceremony led by PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr. yesterday afternoon.
Hidalgo was the former National Capital Region Police Office Deputy Regional Director for Administration.
Pasiwen officially retired from the police force effective yesterday after more than 33 years in service.
The outgoing PRO3 head thanked God, the PRO3 personnel, his previous superiors and colleagues whom he said have given him the chance to serve.
“Though more than half a year may not have been enough to achieve all that I have set out to do as your Regional Director, still, I am fulfilled and happy in the thought that I have done my best and made everyday of those less than seven months significant,” Pasiwen said.
Pasiwen, a member of PNPA “Sandigan” Class of 1994, was the second PNPA graduate to hold the top post in Central Luzon.
