A HIGH-RANKING couple-members of the New People’s Army in Caraga region on Saturday surrendered to the Police Regional Office 13.
In a report submitted to Philippine National Police chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos from PRO13 director Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr., the couple were identified as “Ka Wendel,” 37; and “Ka An-an,” 32.
“Ka Wendel” was an NPA leader at the CPP-NPA North Central Mindanao Regional Committee’s Guerrilla Front 4 while “Ka An-An” was an NPA squad medic.
The couple surrendered to officers of the 1304th Maneuver Company of the PRO13’s Regional Mobile Force Batallion and the 1st Agusan del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company.
According to Caramat, the two decided to yield to reunite with their families and live a normal life.
