The Department of Health (DOH) – Ilocos Region has already surpassed its target of 91,637 during the National Vaccination Days 4 (NVD4) which began on March 10, 2022 by achieving a total of 128,317 Covid-19 doses administered or 140% vaccination coverage as of March 17, 2022.
Ilocos Sur has the highest percentage of vaccination coverage with 275% or a total of 33,560 doses administered from the NVD4 target of 12,184; Ilocos Norte with 179% or 22,429 doses given from a target of 12,523; Dagupan City with 160% or 4,563 individuals vaxxed from 2,847 target; La Union with 144% or 20,189 vaccines dispensed from 14,035 target; and Pangasinan with 95% or 47,576 jabbed from a target of 50,048 individuals.“

“The DOH regional vaccination teams together with members of the rural health units have braved the scorching heat of the sun even the precipitous rains just to deliver the needed booster shots to eligible individuals residing in the mountains, beach communities and other GIDA barangays in the region.”
“Ngayong NVD4, lahat ng sektor ay ating pinuntahan gaya ng mga palengke, mga farm, churches, kampo ng mga sundalo, mga business establishments, mga drayber ng pampublikong sasakyan upang masiguro na lahat sila ay bakunado at nakumpleto na ang kanilang proteksiyon laban sa Covid virus,” Sydiongco emphasized.
The 4th Covid-19 national vaccination drive or the “Bayanihan Bakunahan 4” campaign has been extended until March 18, 2022 to further increase the country’s vaccination coverage.“
For those who have yet to receive their booster shot, visit the nearest vaccination site in your area and avail the vaccine to be fully protected. Hindi magiging kumpleto ang inyong protection laban sa Covid-19 kung kayo ay hindi nakatanggap ng booster shot o ikatlong bakuna para dito,” Sydiongco stressed.
