THE president of Juan Santiago Agriculture Cooperative (JSACOOP) was killed in a gun attack in Sta. Maria, Laguna.
Victim Harrison Boy Diamante, a farmer, and a resident of Bgy. J. Santiago, Sta. Maria municipality, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
In a report submitted to Sta. Maria, Laguna police chief Eviener Boiser by investigator PSSg Clifford Siano showed Diamante was driving a Mitsubishi Adventure when upon reaching Sitio Duhat, Bgy. J. Santiago, Sta. Maria, one of the four armed men in a white L-300 van shot him repeatedly before fleeing.
Witnesses rushed Diamante to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
A follow-up operation by the police led to the capture of two of the suspects identified as Edgar Evangelio, 43, of Sitio Bagong Silang, Bgy. Cabuoan, Sta. Maria, Laguna; and Alex Castro, 49, a resident of Bgy. Caingin, San Rafael, Bulacan.
Two other suspects, an alias “Jethro,” and a cohort, are being hunted.
Further investigation showed the victim was on his way to their JSACOOP office in Sitio Silangan, Sta. Maria town when killed.
