Laguna PNP :Signs Pledge of Safe National and Loca Elections 2022

Laguna Police Provincial Office headed by PCol.Rogarth Campo , Acting Provincial Director, launched the Secure, Accurate, Free/Fair Election (S.A.F.E) National and Local Elections (NLE) 2022 – a replication of KASIMBAYANAN for SAFE 2022, as it joins with the AFP, COMELEC, PCG, BFP, NGOs, and religious leaders in a prayer rally on February 18, 2022 held at the covered court of Kampo Heneral Paciano Rizal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
The program was attended by Rev. Fr. John Lino L. Calampiano, Coordinator of NAMFREL/PPRCV, Dr. Gigi G. Janairo, Provincial DOH Officer, DILG Engr. John M. Cerezo, Provincial Director-DILG, Laguna, CG LTJG Mark Anthony A Cuevillas, Station Commander, Coast Guard Station, BGEN CERILO C BALAORO JR, 202 Brigade Commander, PA, and Atty. Arnulfo H. Pioquinto, Provincial Election Supervisor.
The event started with the interfaith prayer by Rev Fr (PCol) Ronilo A Datu, Chief, Regional Pastoral Office, CALABARZON, Imam Sadam Abdula Sarip, Imam Muslim Community, Sta. Cruz, Laguna, and Pastor Jucel Ronie C. Arceo, Living Water Baptist Church and RMFB values/life coach coordinator. Part of the event was the message of the religious leaders followed by the lighting of candles and pinning of the S.A.F.E. 2022 pin.
The highlight of the event was the signing of manifesto by the members of PNP, AFP, COMELEC, National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL), Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), and the religious and community leaders. They individually expressed their support and commitment to a safe NLE 2022 which was bestowed through a blessing by the religious leaders Rev Fr (PCOL) Ronilo A Datu, Imam Sadam Abdula Sarip, and Pastor Jucel Ronie C. Arceo.
The releasing of doves as a sign of safe and free elections sealed the event.
The KASIMBAYANAN (Kawani, Simbahan at Pamayanan) is a PNP program which aims to preserve and protect the integrity of the upcoming National and Local Elections in May 2022 through interfaith prayers. This also serve as a venue to gather the stakeholders for their public declaration of pledge of commitment for non-partisan and peaceful election.
PCOL CAMPO said “Tayo ay nagkatipon-tipon mula sa iba’t-ibang antas at sektor ng lipunan, anuman ang ating tungkulin, paniniwala, at political preferences, manatili po sana ang ating pagtutulungan na siyang ating matibay na sandigan tungo sa iisang layuning magkaroon ng secure, accurate, free, and fair elections ngayong 2022.”
