Man, daughter burnt alive in Bulacan fire

A 33-YEAR-OLD drunk man allegedly set his house on fire and let himself and his daughter be burned alive in Pulilan, Bulacan.
A report submitted to Bulacan police director Col. Relly Arnedo identified the victims as Jeffrey Mijaro, and his 5-year-old daughter, both residents of Bgy. Sto Cristo, Pulilan town.
Prior to the gruesome death of the father and his daughter , Sharlene, Jeffrey’s wife, told police that she and her husband had a fight.
She said Jeffrey, who was under the influence of liquor, wanted to get their daughter.
Sharlene said her husband left their house but came back with a container of gasoline and threatened to burn their house if she would not give him their child.
The husband allegedly poured the gasoline all over the house and lit it with a lighter.
While the house was burning, the husband took hold of their 5-year-old daughter as Sharlene managed to get out of the house.
Firefighters responded and contained the blaze.
Authorities found the charred bodies of the father and his daughter from the debris.
