PASSENGER volumes at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for the first nine months of 2023 have surpassed the entire 2022 record, showcasing a remarkable recovery of the aviation industry.
The NAIA has recorded 33,757,646 domestic and international passengers from January to September this year.
The figure is 9% higher than the total passenger volume in the whole 2022 at 30,943,105 passengers.
The vitality of both domestic and international flight movements also remains robust, with a total of 206,050 flights taking off and landing at NAIA from January to September 2023.
This reflected a 3% increase compared to the same period in 2022 and a 2% improvement over the first three quarters of 2019.
