A PRIEST was arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation-Cagayan Valley District Office for alleged qualified seduction.
The priest was arrested based on the complaint of the victim’s parents.
According to the victim, suspect called her up allegedly demanding for sexual favors otherwise he will post publicly the videos he obtained during their sexual encounter.
On October 18, 2022, NBI operatives proceeded to Solana, Cagayan, where suspect and victim have agreed to meet.
Operatives tailed the vehicle until they arrived at an uninhabited rice field located in Bgy. Iraga near Iraga Elementary School and Iraga Presbyterian Church, Solana, Cagayan Valley.
When the pick-up vehicle parked in a dark area, NBI operatives immediately arrested the suspect who was about to abuse the victim.
The accused priest was brought to the NBI office in Cagayan Valley for booking and inquest proceedings.
Charges for violation of Article 337 (Qualified Seduction) of the Revised Penal Code, RA 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009), and RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Law) were filed against the arrested priest.
