A NOTORIOUS Chinese drug trafficker was arrested in an entrapment operation in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Nabbed was Chinese national Lou Chuan alias “Liu Yang,” 32, a native of Jixi City, Heilongjiang, China presently residing at Clark Korean Community, Clark Hills, Clark Freeport Zone, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said Angeles City police commander Maj. Christopher Lalic, together with the Station Drug Enforcement Unit operatives, and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 3, launched the sting.
Seized from the suspect were two small transparent plastic sachets containing 19 pieces of small red tablets suspected to be YABA — a caffeine and methamphetamine-induced drug, –four medium-sized plastic sachets containing shabu weighing approximately 100 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P680,000, the marked and boodle money, and one BMW sedan.
According to Hidalgo, the arrested suspect will be charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165.
“Your police here in Central Luzon will have no let-up on our crackdown on all forms of lawlessness, especially illegal drugs, as we continue to deliver excellent police services to the communities of Region 3,” said the Central Luzon top cop.
