A MAN was arrested on Monday while more than P3.7 million worth of kush or high-grade marijuana was seized during a controlled delivery operation in Subic.
Arrested was Federico Flores-Luna alias “Nestor Bustamante, 32, of Opal BLDG Crown Peak Gardens, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
A report to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency chairman Director General Moro Virgilio M. Lazo said the suspect was placed under arrest shortly after he signed the delivery receipt presented to him by an undercover officer and claimed the parcel inside a building in Sulu Street in Subic Bay.
The parcel that arrived at the Port of Clark from Canada on Sunday was declared as containing window curtains.
The dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops were contained in five pouches and weighed over 2.3 kilos, with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P3,737,600.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspect.
