TWO drug suspects on Wednesday were arrested while some 57 kilos of marijuana worth P6.8-million were confiscated in an entrapment launched by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bulacan and the local police on Kennon Road in Bgy. Camp 7, Baguio City.
Nabbed were Arnold Fabian Atonen, 27, of La Trinidad; and Daryl Collera, 27, of Poblacion Bakun, both in Benguet.
PDEA-Bulacan said the operation was a follow-up to a successful narcotics sting on April 12, which resulted in the confiscation of 15 kilos of marijuana worth P1.7 million.
The two suspects yielded 57 pieces of elongated tape-wrapped packaging containing more or less 57 kilos of marijuana dried leaves and fruiting tops.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested duo.
