OPERATIVES of the Police Regional Office 11 on Tuesday smashed a drug den and arrested five high-value targets in an operation in Digos City.
PRO11 director Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr. said members of the Davao del Sur Drug Enforcement Unit and the Intelligence Unit of the Digos City Police Station, together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Davao del Sur, Provincial Intelligence Unit and the 1st Davao Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, raided a drug den in Purok Kalingkatan, Sitio Punta Biao, Cogon, Digos City.
According to Silo, the drug den was being operated by a high-value target named alias “Gaw,” who escaped during the raid.
Nabbed during the operation were Enrile Sapie, Alvie Sapie, Abdulami Ali, Jimmy Sapie, and Nevo Sahiron.
Seized from the suspects were five plastic sachets containing shabu worth at least P225,000, some drug paraphernalia and the marked money.
Silo reaffirms the commitment of the PRO11 to make Davao a drug-free region.
