
POLICE Regional Office 3 is currently undergoing evaluation process for the institutionalization stage of the Performance Governance System (PGS).
According to PRO3 Regional Staff head and Regional Police Strategy and Management Unit 3 (RPSMU3) chief Col. Reynaldo Ogay Jr., PRO3 is one of the units of the PNP that will undergo the institutionalization stage, the fourth and last stage after it has passed the initiation, compliance and proficiency stage in the implementation of the PGS in the past three years.
The validation team from the PNP national headquarters headed by Brig. Gen. Samuel Nacion, deputy director of the Investigation and Detective Management and retired Brig. Gen. Noel Baraceros, chairperson of the National Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development, are now validating the results, as well as the vision of PRO3 in providing good management, and quality services to the community have been fulfilled.
“The institutionalization stage is a process that the national validation team will check if breakthrough results, as well as the vision and mission of the unit to provide good management and quality services to the community have been fulfilled,” said Brig. Gen. Enrico Vargas, DRDA and chairman of the PRO3 Technical Working Group.
PRO3 was conferred with the “Silver Eagle Award” for completing the initiation stage in 2013, Compliance Stage in 2015 and Proficiency Stage in 2017.
Meanwhile, PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said through the PGS program, PRO3 is optimistic that the vision of the PNP that by 2030 it will become a highly-capable, effective, and credible police service, working in partnership with a responsive community.
