THE Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) extended their services to the House workforce as part of the activities lined up to mark HRep Month 2023.
The PSA, who went to the House of Representatives (HRep) as part of its One Stop Shop project, on Monday received applications for birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate and certificate of no marriage. Mindarose Vargas, who is in charge of the PSA mobile services, lauded HRep employees for complying with the requirements for requesting civil registry documents.
The PRC on the other hand, processed requests for renewal of Professional Identification Cards, duplication of lost but still valid licenses, authentication of licenses, authentication of certificates of registration, certificates of good standing and original certificates of rating and passing, among others. HRep Engineering and Physical Facilities Bureau Executive Director Engr. Renato dela Torre, who was among those who renewed his professional license for civil engineers, was grateful to the PRC, “Iyong proseso, napakabilis at simple lang.”
The LTO received applications for the renewal of driver’s license, application and renewal of student driver’s license, motor vehicle registration. It also conducted seminars on Theoretical Driving Course (TDC).
As part of its efforts towards universal coverage, registration to the PhilSys and the issuance if ePhil ID was also conducted at the HRep. Michael Pahimula, Public Relations Officer II of Feedback and Grievance Division of PhilSys Registry Office, said they continue to fast track the national ID registration and printing of IDs. “Sinisiguro natin na walang katulad at ang data na kinukuha natin ay dadaan sa back end, sasalain natin para siguradong ikaw lang ang may identity na ganyan, hindi lang ung pangalan mo kasama na ung biometrics at picture mo lalo na ngayon na uso ang identity theft so iniiwasan natin at hangga’t maari, prine-prevent natin yan,” he explained.
