CONGRESSMAN Paulo “Pulong” Duterte of the first district of Davao City yesterday turned over a funeral home in Bgy. Talomo to provide free funeral service to his constituents.
The lawmaker was represented by his son, Rodrigo Duterte II, who, along with staff members of the First Congressional District Office , was warmly welcomed by officers and members of the Barangay Hall in Talomo.
Duterte II arrived at the Talomo Barangay Hall Satellite Office at Royal Valley in Bangkal around 10:30 a.m. yesterday and formally turned over the “Lamayan ng Bayan” and the gym to the beneficiaries.
Through the initiative of Rep. Duterte, the “Lamayan ng Bayan” will be the first funeral home to offer an accessible venue to Davao City residents who cannot afford decent funeral services for their departed
loved ones.
Meanwhile, a newly-built gymnasium was also turned over to the village that can be used for crowd gatherings, assemblies, and activities of the barangay.
Bgy chairman Bendor Calamba thanked Duterte for the projects.
