
A FORMER rebel leader returned to the fold of the law in Bataan.
Bataan police director Col. Romell Velasco identified the surrenderer as alias “Ka Arman,” a squad leader (Primera) of the KLG Sierra Madre under KR-GL operating in the areas of Bulacan and Nueva Ecija.
The surrender was part of the effortof the Bataan police’ commitment to uphold peace and security framework MKK=K and revitalized PNP Kasimbayanan (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan).
The Bataan PNP, together with members of the 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Division 3, Bataan PIT, Regional Intelligence Unit 3, 21 Special Action Company, 2nd Special Action Batalion, PNP Special Action Force, 70Infantry Battalion, 72MICO and 7MIB of the Philippine Army facilitated the voluntary surrender of “Ka Arman.”
The former rebel is now under the custody of the Provincial Intelligence Unit of Bataan.
Velasco vowed to do its best to gain the trust of the public, as well as former rebels, through whole of the nation approach, and eventually put an end to the communist terrorism in the province.
