THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Regional Field Unit 4A under the leadership of Col. Marlon Santos was praised by a retired teacher for its quick response to her complaint.
Ma. Luisa Caramay, a retired Master Teacher from Cabuyao, Laguna, was a victim of estafa.
She sought the help of the CIDG-RFU4A personnel to arrest Mark Carlo Lira, a wanted person hiding in Palawan.
Lira, who has a standing warrant of arrest for estafa, defrauded Caramay of more than P2-million.
According toi the victim, Lira identified himself as an engineer and was able to convince her to manage the construction of her house in Batangas.
After receiving the full amount, the accused went into hiding.
The victim received an information that the suspect
will be attending a car show at the Mall of Asia in Pasay.
Acting on the report, the CIDG RFU4A RSOT headed by Maj. Jet Sayno wasted no time and immediately proceeded to the Mall of Asia that resulted in the successful arrest of the suspect.

Santos said anyone can seek for police assistance and expect immediate response from the CIDG’s SUMBONG N’YO, AKSYON AGAD program.
