
IN a strong display of community spirit and dedication to education, SM malls across Batangas actively took part in the Department of Education’s 2025 Brigada Eskwela initiative.
Employee volunteers from SM City Batangas, SM City Lipa, SM Center Lemery, and SM City Sto. Tomas teamed up to help prepare local schools for the upcoming academic year. Their efforts included cleaning classrooms, repainting facilities, and conducting minor repairs—ensuring students return to a safer and more welcoming learning environment.
At Mahacot Elementary School in Batangas City, SM City Batangas volunteers worked diligently to clean classrooms and repaint walls and railings, helping create a safer and more welcoming environment for students.

Similarly, SM City Lipa employees contributed their time and effort at Abundio Torre Memorial Elementary School in Lipa City by revitalizing classrooms through thorough cleaning and repainting.
The spirit of bayanihan was further exemplified by SM City Sto. Tomas volunteers at San Jose National High School, where they not only cleaned and repainted but also did some minor repair works, ensuring the school facilities are ready for students.
Meanwhile, SM Center Lemery employees extended their support to Mahayahay Elementary School, engaging also in cleaning and repainting classrooms and its surrounding area.
Joining the yearly brigada eskwela of Dep Ed is part of SM’s commitment and dedication to support community developement through meaningful volunteerism.
