MARIKINA Rep. Teacher Stella Luz A. Quimbo extends her heartfelt congratulations to Senator Sonny Angara on his appointment as the new Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd).
“As a fellow legislator and an advocate for quality education, I am thrilled to see Senator Angara step into this vital role. His commitment to education and his exemplary track record in public service ensure that our educational system is in capable hands,” Quimbo said.
Quimbo emphasized the importance of improving the Philippine education system to meet high standards of quality. “Senator Angara, being a product of both prestigious local and international universities, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable in enhancing our education system.”
Quimbo also highlighted the legacy of Senator Angara’s father, the late Senator Edgardo Angara, a well-known advocate for education in the Philippines. “As the son of the dedicated and respected education advocate, the late Senator Edgardo Angara, I am confident that Senator Angara will continue his father’s mission to improve our education system. His father left a legacy of promoting access and quality education in the country, and I know Secretary Angara will carry this forward.”
Quimbo looks forward to working closely with Secretary Angara to ensure that every Filipino child receives the highest quality education. “Bilang kapwa tagapagtaguyod ng edukasyon, masaya akong makatrabaho si Senator Sonny. Magkasama nating isusulong ang mas mataas na pamantayan sa edukasyon para sa kabataang Pilipino.”
