
A motorcycle crash left a student dead and two others wounded in Tanauan City, Batangas.
A report submitted to Batangas provincial director Col. Pedro Soliba by the Tanauan City Police Station identified the fatality as Andrei Gabriel Trinidad, 25, of Bgy. Trapiche, Tanauan City.
The injured were Dianne Grace Lachica, 23, of Bgy. Balele, Tanauan City, and Lem Laluz, 25.
The accident occurred on A. Mabini Road in Bgy. 6, Tanauan City at 3:40 a.m. on Sunday.
Trinidad and Lachica were both back riders of the motorcycle driven by Laluz.
A CCTV footage showed Laluz lost control of the motorcycle and swerved to the inner lane until the motorbike hit a metal fence on the center of the road.
The riders were all threwn off the road.
Responding members of the Tanauan City Rescue team rushed Lachica to DMMC Hospital while Gabriel was brought to C.P. Reyes Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dra. Leonely Caleja.
Lalum, who also sustained injuries, is also undergoing treatment at the hospital.
