MORE than 500 partners and volunteers from various Tingog Centers across the country gathered at Tingog Summit 2025 on February 6, 2025 at the Leyte Academic Center in Campetic, Palo, Leyte, on February to celebrate and reflect on the ongoing mission of Tingog Partylist.
The event marked a significant milestone as the second Tingog Summit, where the contributions of staff and volunteers were acknowledged and the party’s accomplishments were recognized. The gathering served not only as a celebration of the journey but as a renewed commitment to continue serving and empowering the Filipino people nationwide.
Since its founding in 2012 as Tingog Leytehon in Leyte, the party has experienced remarkable growth, evolving from its regional roots in Eastern Visayas to a national force. The success in the 2019 elections paved the way for its expansion, and the formation of Tingog Partylist allowed the organization to amplify its voice, advocating for the underserved and underrepresented sectors across the country. From its humble beginnings, Tingog Partylist has been at the forefront of delivering vital services and has expanded its reach to communities nationwide.
A cornerstone of this expansion is the establishment of Tingog Centers, with 210 centers currently operating throughout the country. These centers serve as vital links between the Filipino people and the government, providing essential services such as healthcare assistance, legal aid, educational support, and livelihood programs. With each new center, the party has reinforced its commitment to ensuring government services are more accessible to those who need them the most, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
Rep. Jude Acidre underscored the importance of these centers in fulfilling the party’s mission. “The establishment of Tingog Centers is part of our commitment to bring essential services closer to the people, especially in underserved areas,” Rep. Acidre explained. “Each center stands as a testament to our dedication to ensuring no Filipino is left behind in accessing the support they need.” This initiative reflects the party’s vision of inclusive governance that prioritizes the needs of all Filipinos, regardless of their background or location.
Tingog Partylist remains steadfast in its advocacy for socio-economic development, social justice, and human rights. The party is resolutely focused on ensuring that all Filipinos have equal access to education, healthcare, and opportunities for a better life. Its continued work aims to uplift women and children, who are often among the most marginalized groups in society, and empower communities across the nation.
These are visible on their legislative efforts and initiatives with more than 500 Principal Authored House Bills and Resolutions, 40 of which were signed into law including the Sim Registration Act, e-Commerce Act, Basic Education Mental Health Promotion Act, New Government Procurement Act, Liftas Pinoy Centers Act, Ease of Paying Taxes Act, and the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers Act.
In time for the next session, Tingog Partylist will strive to pass the Magna Carta of Children which comprehensively protects our children.
Beyond advocacy and service delivery, Tingog Partylist has been a key player in disaster response, mobilizing resources and assistance for communities affected by natural calamities. From Typhoons Carina, Enteng, and Julian, to major fire incidents in Tondo, Cavite, and Muntinlupa, Tingog Partylist has worked closely with government agencies, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), to provide timely relief and financial aid to affected families. These efforts demonstrate the party’s unwavering commitment to helping Filipinos during times of crisis and ensuring their recovery and well-being.
In partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), Tingog Partylist has also supported vital healthcare initiatives across the country. These collaborative efforts aim to provide accessible and necessary healthcare services to communities in need, further strengthening the party’s commitment to improving the quality of life for Filipinos, particularly the most vulnerable.
Rep. Yedda Romualdez concluded, “Tingog Partylist will always be dedicated to serving the Filipino people. We will continue to listen, act, and serve with integrity and compassion, because we believe in the power of true service to our nation.” This statement encapsulates the core values of the party: service, advocacy, and community empowerment.
With its unwavering dedication, Tingog Partylist continues to make tangible strides in delivering results for the Filipino people. The party’s mission is clear: to serve, to empower, and to ensure that every Filipino, especially those in the most vulnerable sectors, has access to the resources and support they need to thrive, _dahil ang Tingog Partylist ay patuloy na makikinig at magsisilbi sa bawat Pilipino_.
