THE no. 2 most wanted felon in Calabarzon region on Friday was arrested by joint operatives led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Quezon Provincial Field Unit .
In his report to Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Regional Field Unit 4A chief Col. Marlon Santos, Quezon CIDG provincial officer Lt. Col. Mark Jason Gatdula identified the arrested suspect as Gino Sagarino, 27, of Bgy. Bigo, Pagbilao, Quezon.
The suspect was arrested by combined personnel of the CIDG-Quezon Provincial Field Unit, together with the Provincial Intelligence Unit – Quezon Police Provincial Office, Pagbilao Municipal Police Station and the Provincial Highway Patrol Team-Quezon in an operation in Bgy. Bigo, Pagbilao town.
Sagarino was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for rape and five counts of statutory rape under Article 266-A, paragraph D of the Revised Penal Code.
The arrest warrant was issued by Hon. Aristotle Reyes, Presiding Judge of the Family Court Branch 15, Lucena City, Quezon, with no bail recommended.
Gatdula said the arrested suspect ranked 2 in the most wanted persons list in Calabarzon region.
