A WOMAN and her daughter yesterday died after they were trapped in their burning house in Noveleta, Cavite.
Acting police chief Maj. Rommel Carcellar identified the fatalities as Marilen Tamayo, 39, and her daughter Maria Cristina, 8, both of Sitio Pechayan, Bgy. Salcedo II, Noveleta town.
The mother and her daughter were sleeping when the fire started at 12:42 a.m. yesterday.
A pile of wood in the kitchen believed started the blaze and destroyed the entire house made-up of light materials.
Marilen’s husband, Richard, and their son Raymart survived the fire after they were able to come out of the house during the blaze.
Firefighters declared fire out around 01:04 a.m. also yesterday.
