MOTORCYCLE-RIDING assassin on Tuesday night shot dead a woman in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija.
Slain was Eden Puno, married, of Poblacion Sur, Licab, Nueva Ecija, said a report to Provincial police information chief Capt. Franklin D. Sindac.
Police said a concerned citizen alerted them about the gun attack that occurred at Purok 1, Bgy. San Felipe at 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
An investigation showed the victim took shelter at the JJB Store during heavy downpour when a man armed with a gun suddenly appeared and shot her at the back of her head and different parts of her body.
The gunman fled on a motorcycle towards Cabanatuan City.
The victim’s body was taken to the Balot Funeral Services in Bgy. Rajal Norte, Sta. Rosa for autopsy and post-mortem examinations.
Authorities are investigating the killing.
