A 22-YEAR-OLD woman was stabbed dead by her live-in partner during heated argument in their house in Liliw, Laguna.
Victim Diane Angela Canlas of Bgy. Calumpang, Liliw town died from multiple stab wounds.
She was declared dead on arrival at the Nagcarlan District Hospital by attending physician Dr. Clarence Dacanay.
In a report submitted by Liliw police chief Maj. Ajalino Balaoro to Laguna OIC Provincial Director Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, the suspect was Canlas’ live-in partner , Jan Rhey De Guzman.
An investigation by Cpl. Mark Francis Sampaga, showed that the killing occurred at 10 p.m. on Sunday in the couple’s house.
“Madalas daw kasi ang dalawa ay nag-aaway na posibleng dahil sa selos at sa pera, said Sampaga.
Witnesses told police that prior to the killing, they heard the live-in partners quarrelling.
Relatives rushed the victim to the hospital but to no avail.
Murder charges are being readied for filing in court against the suspect.
