STO. TOMAS, BATANGAS — Fifteen (15) junior and senior high school students took part in the Leadership Training and Election of Little City Officials held on August 24 aspart of the city’s celebration of Youth Week and the 2026 Gawad Kabataan Dangal ng Bayan.
The activity was led by Dennis S. Agudo, Senior Education Program Specialistand Youth Formation Division Coordinator. The participants underwent leadershiptraining focused on key skills and values such as responsibility, communication, decision-making, and teamwork.
The program aimed to provide young participants with hands-on experience inleadership and democratic processes. Through the training and election activities, the students were introduced to the importance of accountability, active participation, and community service.
Organizers emphasized that the values and skills development can serve as animportant foundation in preparing the youth to become responsible leaders in the future.
The City Government of Sto. Tomas, led by Mayor Atty. Arth Jhun Aguilar Marasigan (AJAM), along with Vice Mayor Catherine Jaurigue-Perez and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, continues to support programs designed to strengthen youth participation and leadership capabilities as they prepare to become the city’s future leaders .
