
CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – The anti-criminality operations of the Batangas police from March 10-16 have hauled to jail 239 violators of the law, said provincial police PIO chief Lt. Pauline P. Fernando.
Batangas Police Provincial Office Director Col. Pedro D. Soliba reported to Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon) Director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. that during the implementation of the 55 warrants of arrest, 55 wanted persons with various charges were arrested.
Among those nabbed were two from the regional level, four from the provincial level, six from the city/municipal level and 43 were other wanted persons.
About 85 people were arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Seized were 73.7 grams of suspected shabu and 190.9 grams of marijuana worth P524,068.
In 59 operations against illegal gambling, 94 individuals were arrested while P21,465 in bet money was seized.
Five were caught for illegal possession of firearms and 103 were subjected to the police’s firearms return program.
“The Batangas police force continues to fight crime. Let’s work together for the peace and order of our community that we long for,” Soliba said.
