FOUR children yesterday were stabbed dead by their mother’s live-in partner in their home in Trece Martires City, Cavite.
The suspect committed suicide by stabbing himself in the chest.
Trece Martires City police chief Lt. Col Jonathan Aznan identified the victims as Maria Bisa, 14; and her younger siblings Bianca, 10; Joy, 8; and Conrad, 6.
The mother of the kids is working in Saudi Arabia.
The gruesome murder occurred in the victims’ home in Summer Homes Subdivision, Bgy. Cabuco, Trece Martirez City.
Police said the suspect was the kids’ stepfather,
Felimon Galisangga Escalona, a 38-year-old tricycle driver.
Authorities received a report from village officials at 12:35 p.m. yesterday about a commotion happening in the victims’ house. Witnesses said they heard shouting and crying from the house.
Police immediately responded and found the gate of the house padlocked, prompting them to use a volt cutter to open it.
When cops entered the house, they found the suspect bleeding, with a knife wound in his chest.
Authorities searched for the children and found them in the bedroom bloodied and with stab wounds.
The suspect was the one taking care of the children while their mother worked abroad.
An investigation showed jealousy triggered the gruesome killing.
