A TOTAL of600 scholars in Oriental Mindoro on Saturday received their allowances from the provincial government.
Gov. Bonz Dolor said the cash grant aims to help the students in their studies.
The governor said the local government will continue to support young scholars so that they can achieve their dream of graduating.
He encouraged the scholars to be prudent, especially at this time when the province is facing a crisis caused by the oil spill.
He also shared his projects for the family of scholars whose main occupation is fishing.
The student-scholars thanked the provincial government for the financial assistance.
