THE City of Sto. Tomas has been recognized for its social service initiatives after receiving the 3rd Runner-Up – Social Service-Oriented Award at the PH Model Cities and Municipalities 2026. Sto. Tomas City Mayor Atty. Arth Jhun Aguilar Marasigan received the award on September 24, 2026, during a ceremony held at The Manila Hotel. The recognition was presented by The Manila Times.
According to the city government, the award is not only a recognition of the local government's efforts but also a tribute to the entire Tomasino community, whose continued participation and support have helped advance programs and services focused on the welfare of residents.
The local government described the recognition as a product of collective commitment, compassion, and dedication in addressing the needs of the city's residents.
The PH Model Cities and Municipalities program recognizes local government units that demonstrate notable programs, initiatives, and practices in providing services to their communities.
