A BARANGAY councilor on Friday was shot dead in front of the village hall in Bgy. Sineguelasan, Bacoor City, Cavite.
Slain was Angel Ventura Tamayo, a councilor in Bgy. Sinuguelasan, according to officer-on-case PSgt. Eugene De Leon.
Tamayo was talking with barangay secretary John Paul Tulayba Grande outside the village hall when the suspects, both wearing bull cap and facemask, arrived on a motorbike and shot the victim at 5:50 p.m. on Friday.
The gunmen fled after the attack.
Police are conducting a dragnet operation to arrest the suspects.
