OPERATIVES of the Police Regional Office 4A on Friday arrested an alleged gun-for hire member during the implementation of search warrant in Balayan, Batangas.
PRO4-A director Brig.Gen. Antonio C Yarra identified the suspect as Lorenzo Pedraza Holgado, 55 years old and a resident of No.388, Brgy. Santol, Balayan, Batangas.
Joint operatives of Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 4A, Regional Special Operations Unit (RSOU) 4A, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 4A, ISAFP and Balayan Municipal Police Station serve the search warrant issued by Hon. Carolina Faustino De Jesus-Suarez, the Presiding Judge of Branch 108, 4th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court, Balayan Batangas .
The suspect confiscated caliber .45 Taurus pistol, caliber .45 Armscor pistol, MK2 fragmentation hand grenade, caliber .9mm replica Bruni MOD 92 and several different magazines and ammunition in his residence around 2 am .
Investigation further revealed that the suspect is allegedly a gun for hire individual hired by unscrupulous politicians.
He will be charged with violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act in relation to Comelec Resolution No. 10728.
The seized firearms will be subjected to cross matching procedure to detect if it were used in any crime committed with firearms.
