ANTI-DRUG operatives on Thursday arrested two notorious drug peddlers and seized some P340,000 worth of shabu in an entrapment operation in Angeles City.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., nabbed were Jesus Sarmiento and Michael Abbas, both residents of Bgy. Pandan.
Members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Angeles City police conducted the sting in Bgy. Pulungbulu.
Seized from the suspects were at least 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P340,000.
Sarmiento and Abbas were charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Hidalgo said the arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of the shabu confirmed that illegal drugs are still out on the streets.
“We assure our law-abiding citizens that your police will be restless in our anti-illegal drugs campaign to maintain peace and order and secure the future of the youth,” the Central Luzon top cop said.
