Baguio City – The City Government of Baguio will launched a mobility test run for COMET electric mini-bus manufactured and owned by the Global Electric Transport (GET) from November 20 – December 3, 2022.
The COMET has an 18-seating capacity and can accommodate 12 standing persons. It will be tested along the routes going to Mines View from November 20-26, 2022 and to Aurora Hill (CBD) on November 27-December 3, 2022 as these are considered the steepest roads in the city.
Operating time will be from 08:00AM to 05:00PM and pick up and drop off points will only be at Harrison Road loading/unloading area near Ganza Parking entrance.
The city government said that residents who wants to avail of the free ride during the test run can just download the GET-PASS app from Google Play Store and register.
The project on the placement of public vehicles with low carbon emission is supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Department of Transportation (DOTr).
The COMET mini-bus is a fully electric-vehicle that uses a fast charging lithium ferrophosphate battery with rated energy of 53.47kWh. Its PMSM motor has a torque of 270 Nm and a peak power at 120kW.
